last design attempt

The issue we are trying to resolve:

Lost and assurance

The 2 types of lost: Firstly, they are unsure whether this occupation will promise them a future, esp with such a down turn in economy

Secondly, there are several kinds of design courses available, which makes a person unsure as to what to choose. Thirdly, they do not understand the content, eg, description of module, not because they can't find the information, (they know where to find and where to navigate, however the info provided doesn't solve the problem) TENTATIVE

Our audiences are:
Type of Target Audiences:

1. Secondary School Students (Age:13-16)
2. Overseas Students (Age:15-25)
3. I.T.E [Insitture of Technical Education] (Age:15-25)
4. Junior Colleges
5. Working Adults
6. Companies [IAP -
Industrial Attachment Programme]
7. Parents
8. Disabled, Handicapped and students with special needs

This project in terms of urgency.

Very urgent

Determine what will make this project successful.

We have to attract students in, make the web easy for them to navigate through and absorb information.

Establish a glossary of terms.

NO TERMS LAH

Research

History of the issue; remember any existing obstacles we have:

From our survey results, what students want are very practical and simple, however, from user observation, they want fun and interesting stuffs.

Its very hard to define our school, to let the school branding and what the audience want (to fuse them together).

Collect examples of other attempts to solve the same issue.

People have tried:-

Categorising by groups, which is by students parents and what nots

Giving quizzes to define the group that is present, and present the information relevant to the group itself.

Rearrange information, content type, importancy of the information.

Note the project supporters, investors, and critics.

Director, the board of directors, Mr Daniel Tan.
Client is Miss Patricia Lim
Coordinators are Mr Ignatius and Miss Coen Chua

Meeting with miss coen and ms wen lei
Topics discussed: Lost and assurance

Discussion:
Since we talked about how important the showcase will be, we should design the layout with the showcase in mind, because people are attracted by our showcase.
Dreamy and making dreams come true are 2 different things
How does one make the dreams come true?
-People come in here to be animators, interactive designers, game artist, what is it that pulls them in?
- The works, branding it, branding that if they come in, they will achieve such works
-animator/web designer

Qns: how to package, how animators look like, what do they like? Ans: anime, cosplay? (gan chiong king)

Stuffs that also attract people other than dreams coming true
they are weird

comfortable studio / qing qing song song

simplicity casual /function/ colors elements and images

They are free to express themselves

There are no examinations

There is compulsory attachment, beneficial to people, makes the weak stronger *details first hand experience*

library relax laidback and slack are diff things

den think of how to reassure

simple with little details ( icons lah and certain aspects that gel)

Interface doesn't have to be very complicated, can be simple

concept deep is OK

SOLUTION PROVIDED:

We can only guide the cow to the fountain, we can't force it to drink, BUT, we can make the fountain sound interesting, it has magical powers, its gonna make you powerful stronger. Thus tempting them to drink it.
